The Epiphone Les Paul is a solid body electric guitar manufactured by Epiphone, a subsidiary of Gibson Guitar Corp. It is an inexpensive reproduction of Gibson's high-end model, the Les Paul. They are manufactured in Asia. The Epiphone models are more toward beginners and students. The creation of the Epiphone version led to many more guitar players due to their low cost. There are several different variations of the Les Paul, the one shown on the right is an Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plain Top.
